Three Rivers'
About The Busy Bee Women's Club >
The Busy Bee Women's Club was formed in Three Rivers Estates in order to meet with the ladies of
the community in a social, noncombatant atmosphere where we can enjoy each other, take day
trips, have luncheons, and do some good for our community at the same time.

If you have any interest in joining the Busy Bee Women's Club, please call Evelyn Johnson at 386-497-4699 or Karen
Faunce at 386-497-4935.  Either lady will be happy to fill you in on the next BBC Meeting, covered dish, or road trip.
Dues are $12.00 per year.  Every once in a while we might have a small fund raiser, or a no bake sale.  Dues go toward
our covered dish dinners and donations to local organizations such as  the Fort White Public Library, the Fort White
Elementary School and needy families in Three Rivers.
Busy Bee Christmas Party, December 13, 2011

This year's Christmas Party was held at the Suwannee River Cove Restaurant.  Busy Bees and their spouses enjoyed a grand buffet of Turkey and
Ham with all the fix'ins.  Christmas Party Co-Chairmans Martha Sherrod and Millie McGee can be thanked for planning the best ever Christmas
Party!!  After dinner, a Chinese Gift Exchange was enjoyed.  The most sought after gift of the night was a Gator Birdhouse which was exchanged
four times.
Don't pay any attention to the dates on these photos, I don't know how to change my camera dates!
JANUARY BUSY BEE MEETING MINUTES

Our treasurer reported that we have a balance of $233.55 in our kitty.  We voted to spend $128.40 to renew our
Park Pass for the next 12 months.  It expires the end of February and will be renewed in March.  Karen Mullins will
be the custodian so anyone who wishes to use it should contact her.  All but 3 members renewed and an updated
Membership List will be sent out under a separate email.

Seems our Christmas family appreciated the stuff we got for them but I guess they aren't much into writing.
Roxanne is keeping tabs with them and will let us know if they need other things during the year.  We hope to do or
get something for each of the kid's birthdays and maybe at Easter.  Roxanne had quite a few things left over from
Sassy's generous donation of toys and we will use them as the occasion arises.  The five year old's birthday is Feb
1 but I thing Roxanne has enough stuff for her right now.  Also, if anyone hears of anyone in our community who
could use some help please bring it to my attention and we'll see what help we can give.

Evelyn is going to check into a road trip to the LaCaille Ranch in Alachua for the end of February.  They raise and
sell peacocks and all kinds of exotic birds and their grounds are beautiful.  We have to have an appointment so it
will be announced at our February meeting.  If anyone wants to check it out their web is www.lacailleranch.com.
We are planning a trip to Kanapaha Gardens sometime in April.

Our February meeting will be on Valentine's Day so we are having a pot luck party.  Bring whatever snacks or
finger food you want to make and we'll do what we do best---EAT!!  Sassy, Claire and Evelyn are bringing drinks
and paper plates, etc.  It doesn't have to be just cookies, chips & dip, cherries jubilee, cakes or whatever will be
just fine.

Being as most of us seem to suffer from CRS, we decided to let each member take whatever food donations they
have to the Community Thrift on their own.  We can't seem to remember to bring them to our meeting and I'm sure
CTS doesn't mind when they get food.  They could really use canned meat.

Also, the Box Tops for education is another of our projects if anyone uses stuff that has them on it.  Please cut
them off the box or whatever and give them to Patty at the Library.  She has a jar for them.   The schools get $.10
for each one.
